Galerie Q's artist Yvon Lemieux selects the winner of his artwork

May 17, 2018 – Peterborough, ON: On the morning of May 12th, Peterborough’s Otonabee Ward Councillor Lesley Parnell along with Yvon Lemieux (Galerie Q’s artist) and guests gathered at the Peterborough Farmers Market in anticipation of whom will be winning this exquisite artwork titled “ La partie de cartes”. Yvon greeted ticket holders as last-minute sales continued to occur. Yvon says “ I am humbled that so many people loved my painting and that my artwork helped raise money for an important cause, the Brock Mission Rebuild. My heart is full”

Immediately after the draw of the painting, Yvon welcomed guests and Brock Mission Board Members along with the Councillor Lesley Parnell at Galerie Q’s sister gallery the Millbrook Gallery at 36 King Street East, Millbrook, ON to celebrate the end of this fundraising effort.

About the Brock Mission: The Brock Mission provides emergency crisis shelter, food, clothing and support to those in our men in the community who find themselves in need. The Brock Mission provides a shelter that is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, every week of the year for homeless adult men. The new facility will host 30 emergency shelter beds, 15 single resident occupancy rooms plus services such as Forecast.
